General policies about holidays, seasons, pets, visitors, comments, complaints, parking, daily fees, and who to contact are addressed below. This page also includes policies specific to reserving cabins and campsites, such as deposits, rates, discounts, length of stay, check-in time, check-out time, and registration. This is not intended to be a complete or comprehensive list. Policies are subject to change.

COMMENTS & CONCERNS: Comments, concerns, problems, or issues must be brought to the direct and immediate attention of management, and prior to check-out and/or departing the property.

 

HOLIDAYS: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day

 

SEASONS: Lake Whitney Marina @ Juniper Cove operates year-round. The seasons include Spring & Summer (March – September) and Fall & Winter (October – February).

 

CHECK-IN: Cabin and campsite check-in time begins at 3:00pm. Cabin keys are issued and released to the credit card holder listed on the reservation only.

 

CHECK-OUT: Cabin and campsite check-out time is BEFORE 12:00pm. All cabins and campsites must be vacated and room keys must be returned to the ship's store BEFORE check-out time. Any in-water vessel tie-ups and slip rentals must be vacated by this check-out time to avoid additional charges.

 

CREDIT CARDS: Lake Whitney Marina accepts American Express, Discover, Master Card, and Visa. Only the credit card holder listed on the reservation may authorize changes, cancellations, or additional charges. Cabin keys are issued and released to the credit card holder listed on the reservation.

 

DEPOSITS: A reservation is held by a credit card only. A deposit of the first night's stay plus applicable taxes and fees is required and charged to a credit card at time of reservation; full payment is due when a reservation is made within seven (7) days of check-in date. Reservations accepted up to a year in advance.

 

PAYMENT: Payment for all nights booked along with other outstanding balances must be paid in full upon arrival on check-in date and prior to occupying a site or receiving a cabin key.

 

CANCELLATIONS: Cancel reservations by calling the marina during business hours. Reservations must be cancelled at least thirty (30) or more days prior to your check-in date to avoid forfeiture of your deposit and any payments. Deposits are non-transferable from one party/reservation to another party/reservation. NO SHOW: Failure to cancel a reservation AND occupy the booked cabin or site on the check-in date results in a charge for the entire stay. HOLIDAYS: All deposits and advance payments are non-refundable. Any holiday reservation not cancelled at least sixty (60) or more days prior to the check-in date results in a charge for the entire stay.

 

CHANGES: Requests to modify an existing reservation are not guaranteed and subject to availability; call the marina during business hours with requests. Reservation changes may result in higher rates, additional fees, deposits, and/or advance payments. A reservation may not be modified after check-in. HOLIDAYS: Holiday reservations cannot be modified; refer to the Holiday Cancellation Policy and the Refunds Policy for more information.

 

REFUNDS: Refunds or credits will not be issued for any reason including, but not limited to, weather conditions, no shows, lake levels, buyer's remorse, early departures, rule or policy violations, service interruptions, maintenance issues, third-party events, Acts of God, or unforeseen events.

 

DISCOUNTS: Discounts must be mentioned at the time of reservation. Discounts are subject to availability and management approval. Discounts cannot be combined or used with any other offer. No discounts available for groups or special events. Retroactive discounts are not provided. Discounts are NOT valid at anytime March-September (Spring & Summer Season); during any HOLIDAY period; or any weekend October-February (Fall & Winter Season). ESCAPEES RV CLUB & PASSPORT AMERICA: Discount valid only OCTOBER-FEBRUARY and for a mid-week (Sunday-Thursday) stay of a minimum of two consecutive nights. To be eligible for one of the discounts: (1) the reservation must be in the member's name as it appears on the "Escapees RV Club" or "Passport America" membership card; (2) the member must provide a valid membership number at the time of reservation; (3) proof-of-membership and matching photo identification must be presented at check-in time and match the name on the reservation. Only one discount and campsite per member. Regular rates apply if any of the above conditions are not met.

 

RATES: Call the marina during business hours for current rates and availability. Rates, taxes, and fees are subject to change without notice or obligation, and may vary by season, day, length of stay, size of party, type of cabin or site, or availability. Outdated information may appear online or in print without notice of any change and not intended as final quote. Management retains the right to refuse or cancel any reservation with incorrect pricing, or information listed or provided, due to typographical error, or any other error or reason.

 

NO SMOKING: All cabins, facilities, dry storage, boat docks, and buildings are NO SMOKING only; use of tobacco products in these areas is strictly prohibited. Additional fees and charges may be assessed for rule or policy violations, repairs, damages, cleaning, odors, and/or restoration of areas to non-smoking/tobacco-free condition. Discard extinguished cigarette butts in proper receptacles only; do not litter.

 

PETS ON THE PROPERTY:  Lake Whitney Marina @ Juniper Cove is pet-friendly with restrictions.

Pet owners are responsible for contacting management in advance requesting approval to bring a given pet on the property. Unfriendly, aggressive or vicious dogs are strictly prohibited. No pit bulls and/or mixed-breeds, Rottweilers, or Presa Canarios allowed. Pet owners are responsible for their pets at all times; they must keep them under control, pick up after them, and provide adequate food, water, and shelter. Whether crated, tied-up, or otherwise restrained, pets may not be left unattended on the property. Violators must remove the given pet(s) from the property immediately upon management's request; violators may also be subject to immediate ejection from the property and without refund at management's discretion. PETS IN CABINS: Pets are not allowed inside any cabin, unless the individual pet is pre-approved by management to be on the property AND the primary occupant listed on each cabin reservation seeks pre-approval from management prior to their arrival on the property. Each cabin pre-approved by management will be charged a non-refundable, required fee (this fee is per cabin; it is not a deposit). The fee is in addition to any charge that may be incurred by the primary occupant (listed on the respective cabin reservation), pet owner(s), and/or the responsible parties for any repairs, damages, loss, scratches, waste removal, stains, deep cleaning, odors, hair removal, and/or restoration of an area to a pet-free condition. Violators are subject to a significant financial penalty per cabin. Violations may be observed by management, staff, or a third-party; visible signs a pet entered or occupied a cabin includes teeth/claw marks or scratches, pet food, pet hair, pet toys, paw prints, or pet odors.

 

MINIMUM STAY:  Two (2) night minimum stay required for all cabins and campsites year-round. HOLIDAYSThree (3) night minimum stay required for all cabins and campsites during Holidays.

 

MINIMUM AGE:  Renting a cabin or campsite is a contract; the primary occupant of any cabin or campsite must be of legal age to enter a binding agreement. Minimum age to rent a campsite is 18. Minimum age to rent a cabin is 21. Valid photo identification required at check-in.

 

REGISTRATION:  Day visitors, guests with cabin/campsite reservations, and any invitees must register with Lake Whitney Marina upon arrival on the property; registration information includes name, contact information, license plate tags, and any boater registration numbers. Vehicle tags must be completed in full and clearly displayed from the rearview mirror while on the property. All fees are non-refundable. All tags are non-transferable. No trespassing. Unauthorized vehicles, trailers, vessels, or camping units are subject to being towed at owner's risk and expense.

 

FEES FOR ENTRY & FACILITIES:  Daily fees are required for entry to the property. Fees are due in full upon arrival. These fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, and must be paid in advance and before use of facilities or services. Fees and hours for facilities and services vary and they are subject to change without notice. Visitors are permitted on the property from dawn to dusk only; no overnight visitors. No trespassing. No loitering. Unauthorized vehicles, trailers, or vessels are subject to being towed at owner's risk and expense.

 

PARKING: Vehicles are required to pay daily entry/parking fees in full and immediately upon arrival. Vehicle tags must be completely filled out with a date and signature, then clearly displayed from the rearview mirror while on the property. Parking on the property is limited. Parking is available on a "first-come, first-serve" basis. Park in designated areas only. Parking lots are located at the floating ship's store and boat ramp area. Do not park in open grassy areas, near dumpsters, at the top of boat dock or ship's store walkways, along hillsides, near gates, or on roadways of campground loops. No boat trailers may be parked in open grassy areas of loop 4 where the following boat docks are located: C, G, M, N, or J. Access to roads and roadways, parking lot entrances/exits, all gates, boat ramp launch lanes and turnaround areas, restroom/shower buildings, dry storage areas, marked campsites, cabins, and the tops of walkways to docks must remain free and clear of any obstructions. DAY VISITORS: Visitors are not permitted on the property overnight. A vehicle tag for a day visitor is valid for one day only and from the hours of dawn to dusk. Vehicles and/or boat trailers belonging to day visitors must be removed from the property daily. Violators are subject to being reported to law enforcement. BOATERS: Once boats are launched or loaded at a boat ramp, clear the immediate area for the next vehicle waiting in line. The designated area for boat passenger loading/unloading is the dock of the floating ship's store. Vehicles and trailers may park in gravel parking area of the "Boat Ramp Parking Lot". Do not block access to launch lane, ramp, or other parked trailers or vehicles.  LOW LAKE LEVELS:  When lake levels are below normal, vehicles may access the low-water boat ramp via a marked gravel roadway only. Vehicles are not permitted on grass or hillsides. Once launched or loaded, trailers and vehicles must clear the immediate area around the ramp and shoreline, and move to one of the parking lots. No parking is permitted down at the low-water boat ramp or around the shoreline. This applies to all vehicles, motorcycles, boat trailers, and golf carts. CABINS & CAMPSITES: Park in front of your reserved cabin or campsite; do not park in open grassy areas between campsites or cabins. Parking is not guaranteed at a cabin or campsite; overflow parking is available. During some events, holidays, or management's discretion, boat trailers are required to park in one of the designated parking lots only and will not be permitted in the campground near cabins, campsites, and some docks.

 

GROUPS & EVENTS: Lake Whitney Marina @ Juniper Cove is a privately-owned and operated business in Texas. Prior to planning a group event or activity on the property, the coordinator, leader, or director must contact management in advance for permission, daily entry fees, facility fees, insurance (certificate/additional insured), and other requirements; this applies to, but is not limited to, special events, group activities, day-use gatherings, reunions, booking multiple accommodations, retreats, meetings, or fishing tournaments / launches / weigh-ins. The property, including cabins, campground loops, parking lots, boat docks, ramps, and any other facility is not available for exclusive use by any group. No discounts, fee waivers, or special rates available for group events or activities. Refer to rules regarding commercial use or activity, oversized structures, vehicle tags, fees, concessions, advertising, soliciting, games of chance, and quiet hours. USACE permits may be required.
