Use caution while driving on Juniper Cove Road. It is a two lane county road that runs through a residential area. The speed limit is 35 MPH. Watch for small animals, children at play, cars, boats in tow, motorhomes and other RVs, 18-wheelers, and delivery trucks.

Entrance to Lake Whitney Marina

There's one entrance/exit to Lake Whitney Marina @ Juniper Cove and it's located at the intersection of Paradise Cove Road and Juniper Cove Road. Juniper Cove Road "ends" at this intersection.

Please note that once you pass Paradise Cove Road, you've entered the marina and are now on Lake Whitney Marina property. We are a privately-owned and operated business on over sixty acres and two miles of shoreline. There is a fee charged to enter the property. View hours of operation. No trespassing.

Where to go next

The speed limit is 10 MPH. Slow down and use caution while driving once you've entered the property. Watch for wildlife, pets, children, vehicles with boats and camping units in tow, delivery trucks, and marina-owned vehicles on roadways and in parking lots. Watch for speed bumps.

From the entrance, follow the two lane road around the bend and then stop at the guard booth. The daily fee is due immediately upon arrival and you're responsible for submitting the payment before accessing or using any facilities.

The guard booth may or may not be occupied. Either way, there is a self-pay box located on the front of the booth with envelopes, vehicle tags, and a payment slot. Instructions for using the self-pay box are displayed in the booth window.

Directions by Boat

We're centrally-located on Lake Whitney between the mouth of the Brazos River and the Whitney dam. We're east of the Katy Bridge at Cedar Creek (we're directly across the cove from USACE Cedar Creek Park). Lake Whitney Marina @ Juniper Cove has several floating docks on the water and they are surrounded by a large campground with cedar cabins and campsites, boat ramps, parking lots, a boat and trailer storage facility, and trees on the hillsides.

Area - Use Caution & No Wake

The area around Lake Whitney Marina is a NO WAKE / IDLE SPEED area. Watch for buoys.

Use caution operating vessels and paddlecraft near docks and the shoreline. Lake levels fluctuate on Lake Whitney. The marina uses a anchoring system to secure its docks. Watch for wire ropes running across the water between the shoreline and winches on the docks. Stay clear of docks and cables.

Watch for area boat traffic, boats entering and exiting dockage spaces, boats being launched and hauled out at the ramps, boats getting fuel at the store dock, the concrete piers near the low water boat ramp (depending on the current lake level), and both metal and wood debris next to the old wood pier (damaged by a tornado in 2017).

Floating Store Dock

Visiting boaters go directly to the floating store dock. This dock has the raised flags, two gasoline pumps, and the white building with the double glass doors and windows around it. Ship's store hours are displayed in the window. The store dock is closed to foot and boat traffic when the ship's store is closed or it's after store hours.
