Lake Whitney is a flood-control reservoir in the Brazos River Basin managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The reservoir has a maximum depth of 108 feet, a surface area of more than 23,500 acres, and a shoreline of approximately 225 miles.

Boaters are advised to use caution on area lakes year-round and to be alert for changes in lake levels and weather conditions when securing, operating, loading, or unloading vessels.
