Stay up to date with what's happening at Lake Whitney
During the week of June 23rd, the marina will begin to
sell beer at the ship's store.
Whitney Marina sustained property damage from
floods, storms, and tornadoes from 2015 to 2017. Below is
a summary of "what's new" on the property through July 2018:
2BR/2BA cabins with full kitchens (arrived April 2018).
New floating store dock
and dock walkway built at the marina (opened May 2018).
New ship's store with 10-minute boat slips for store customer use (opened May 2018).
Added new 28’ slips
to an existing covered boat dock (2017-2018).
Built two new covered boat docks
with 24’ wet slips (2017-2018).
New fuel pumps and fuel lines installed
at the store dock (2017-2018).
New metal roof and siding on an existing dry storage building (2017).
Note: The wood pier
along with the old store dock (it had a store, indoor fishing area,
bait room, and fish cleaning station) were damaged
by the 2017 tornado. They were not rebuilt. Stop by the
new store dock (it's the largest
one the lake).
Two new boat
docks were added in 2008. One
dock offers 40'x16' covered slips, while the other offers 40'x14' and 50'x16' covered slips.
Water, convenience electric, and metered shore
power (30A/50A) available at both docks. Speak with the
marina's owners for availability, rates for an annual dockage license,
and insurance requirements.
